Samuels Story – “every item has a story”

Thanks for visiting my site, I have just turned 19 and have launched my first business selling Antique and Vintage Signs and Collectables. I grew up developing a real passion for antiques and collectables as I travelled round France with my family visiting various Brocantes ( French Antique Fairs) and Vide Greniers (which are basically French Attic and house clearances) where I would buy toys, signs and collectables. At a young age I would haggle with the stall and house owners whether it was half a Euro or not. I loved Lego, Tintin items and Star Wars collectables and could always find some amazing items in the French Countryside towns and villages.

As I grew up I started my collection of mainly Toys and quickly filled my bedroom with some brilliant buys. My Favourite purchase was a Lord of the Rings – Legolas Figure that I bought in Montauban in the Tarn et Garronne for 1 euro and is now worth over 100 Pounds today. But I have kept this one for my personal collection. My passion and knowledge has grown over the years and I now travel around France on a regular basis going to Fairs and Events sourcing Antiques and Collectables that all have their own story.

Having completed A Levels I decided that University wasn’t for me and I wanted to take my passion forwards as a business and career and have set up my first venture Samuels Antiques and Vintage Signs – I have built up a range of Vintage Signs from all over France and the UK selecting top quality brands and items that would suit any serious collector or someone who simply wants to furnish their bar, gym or games room with a unique piece. Each sign is selected for its authenticity, design and vintage that makes them attractive and valuable to the purchaser. Every item has a story, its age, history where it came from and its background. Whether it’s a French bar or café, sports ground, cinema or pub all my signs are real, old and have a quality to them. I have also collected a range of Movie Posters to sit with my signs and there are some really unique and rare finds here.
